Getting control of the pace and scale of growth in our county is as crucial today as it was four years ago when this community first cast their votes to elect a leader that would fight to preserve all the things that make life sweeter in Rockwall County. Since taking office in January of 2023, Judge Frank New has worked tirelessly toward that goal: from strengthening subdivision regulations generally, to specifically adopting local government code 232.110 which forces developers to bear their fair share of infrastructure improvements, to challenging the formation of a new mud district illegally formed by a fraudulent election, Judge New continues to make good on his promise to the people of Rockwall County that he will do all that can be done to protect our way of life.
Feeling safe in our homes, our schools and our businesses is a large part of why we choose to live and raise our families in Rockwall County. Judge New believes in protecting those that protect us by providing them with the tools, training, and funding they need to keep us safe, and to make it home to their families at the end of each day. Working closely with the Rockwall County Sheriff to provide funding and develop strategies to maximize the impact of those funds, as well as supporting all law enforcement agencies in Rockwall County with his presence and his prayers are just some of the ways Judge New is proving his commitment to keeping Rockwall County safe.
Lower Taxes
Judge Frank New has proven that he knows how to run a government while lowering the tax burden on individual property owners to offset rising property values. By implementing the “No New Revenue” rate, Judge New has and will continue to require Rockwall County Government to live within its means just like its taxpayers do. That means that any expansion in government buildings, personnel, or services is limited to what can be paid for by the increase in tax revenue from growth and development, NOT by increasing the tax burden on existing property owners. Judge New promised voters this plan could work, and it IS working for Rockwall County.
